If you met me on the street and asked, “ Do you believe in Ghosts?”
I would likely reply “Yes”.
Several years ago, my mother passed away. Leaving me with the responsibility to protect and provide for myself and my brother.
I have managed. And, now I am starting to be concerned about retirement and such.
If you are like me, in your late 30s, and are curious about preparing for retirement here is one method to consider for your asset allocation.
First of all, they are three main vehicles to consider
1. Cash
2. Stocks
3. Bonds
With the Age-based strategy, subtract your age from 100% and allocate your assets to Stocks and the remainder to Bonds
For Example, if you are 35
100-35=65
This means 65% of my portfolio should be in stocks and 35% in Bonds. With such a portfolio you won't lose sleep over your investments.
Also, you don't need a lot of money to start planning for your retirement. And you don't need a lump sum. You can start with a small amount to develop discipline. Consider “dollar-cost averaging”. Google it.

“Tears” is a word that rarely sees the light of day. I say this because unless we are moved to the depths of our being we rarely cry.
Today I cried. Twice. Tender Tears of Appreciation.
While the details are better told over a shared moment, I am sharing to acknowledge the experience and inspire you to honor your strength.
This morning I prayed to thank GOD and the invisible energies that rule our lives.
This evening I cried while thanking myself for being strong and lovely.
Take a moment and thank yourself for the journey you have endured this far.
